Do You Need a Certified Passport Translation?
A passport translation is not automatically required for every UK passport application. The exact requirement depends on the document you are submitting and the instructions issued for your application.
HM Passport Office states that supporting documents not written in English or Welsh need a certified translation. In other situations, an organisation may ask for a translated foreign passport, identity-document page, residence permit, visa, entry stamp or handwritten annotation.
